Este posibil un seism major in Vrancea, in acest an?
Nu. S-a observat ca seismele majore vrancene apar numai dupa producerea a cel putin 2-3 seisme cu magnitudinea de cel putin 7,0 pe scara Richter undeva pe “centura” Turcia-Iran-Caucaz-Asia Centrala-China, dintre care cel putin unul dintre ele ar trebui sa fie in Turcia sau in Iran. Nu trebuie luati in seama, sub nici o forma, falsii profeti de ocazie, asa-zisii clarvazatori, care pretind ca au viziuni si ca ar auzi voci. In realitate, nu sunt decat niste sarlatani; ei spun in fiecare an ca va fi cutremur, pana la urma seismul se va produce, si vor pretinde ca l-au prevazut !
Predictia seismelor
In general, predictia unui cutremur presupune parcurgerea urmatoarelor etape. In faza pe termen lung (mai mare de 1 an), predictia (prognoza, previziunea) se bazeaza pe argumente statistice (referitoare la regularitatile pe termen lung in aparitia cutremurelor intr-o zona data) dar si pe detectarea unor anomalii in acticitatea seismica de fond, anomalii care insa nu au semnificatie imediata, ci pe un termen mai indelungat. In faza pe termen mediu (intre o luna si un an) se folosesc anumite anomalii, fluctuatii in activitatea seismica, scheme de calm in seismicitate, diferite modificari de ordin geofizic detectate de catre specialisti. In faza pe termen scurt (cateva zile-cateva saptamani), predictia se bazeaza pe aparitia unor seisme precursoare, in diferite tipuri de secvente. Pe termen iminent (cateva ore-cateva zile), un rol important l-ar juca si comportamentul animalelor, dar studiat intr-o maniera sistematica.
Cum se manifesta un cutremur vrancean ? Ce putem face in timpul cutremurului ?
Seismul incepe intotdeauna printr-o miscare verticala, un fel de saltat, mai mult sau mai putin intens. In cazul cutremurelor slabe si moderate, de regula nu simtim acest saltat initial, sau il putem sesiza vag, ca o usoara trepidatie, daca ne aflam in conditii de liniste, stam jos sau suntem la un etaj superior. Dupa cat de intens este saltatul initial putem banui cat de mare va fi cutremurul. In cazul seismelor majore (de magnitudine peste 7,0), saltatul incepator este destul de puternic, e ca si cum am tranti sau am rasturna un obiect greu, un dulap, ceva voluminos, oricum. Saltatul initial corespunde sosirii undei primare P, care reprezinta inceputul miscarii seismice. Intr-un interval de 18-19 secunde (pentru Bucuresti), incepe miscarea orizontala, balansul care se amplifica, si intram in faza maxima a seismului. In functie de momentul in care constientizam saltatul initial, intervalul pe care il avem la dispozitie poate fi intre 10-20 de secunde. In acest timp, putem opri un foc deschis (aragaz, resou, de ex.), putem sa ne indepartam de obiecte grele care pot cadea sau se pot rasturna (biblioteci, dulapuri etc.), dar nu e recomandat sa iesim pe scara, deoarece in cazul in care seismul atinge sau depaseste o anumita intensitate (VII pe scara Mercalli), avem probleme cu mentinerea echilibrului, si putem cadea pe scara, deci ne putem accidenta grav; in plus, ne putem impiedica de unele obiecte care se mai afla in incintele scarilor blocurilor, suntem expusi la caderea unor ghivece de pe policioare (putem fi loviti in cap). In cursul fazei maxime, simtim o combinatie de miscari, pe orizontala in diferite directii (N-S, E-V) dar si verticala. Urmeaza faza de atenuare, in care miscarea scade rapid in intensitate, pana sub limita perceperii noastre. Dupa cutremur, este recomandat sa nu aprindem lumini, lumanari etc, in general sa nu folosim surse de foc deschis, deoarece in cazul unui seism foarte puternic este posibil sa apara fisuri in teava de gaz. De asemenea, trebuie sa fim atenti sa nu calcam pe geamuri sparte. In general, daca seismul ne prinde in locuinta, este recomandat sa existe un loc anume cunoscut in care se ne indreptam, loc care sa fie indepartat de mobilierul greu, de geamuri etc. Dupa seism pot urma replici. Replicile seismelor vrancene sunt mult mai slabe decat socul principal si, chiar daca le simtim, nu sunt periculoase.

Vrancea nu ‘canta” cand profetesc asa-zisii vizionari. Poate marilor profeti ai neamului le ciripeste undeva
Acum, depinde ce “voci” aud istratii. O fi in legatura cu frecventa ??

Lasand gluma la o parte, exista o serie de lucruri pe care oamenii trebuie sa le cunoasca. Eu cred ca nu trebuie sa ne gandim tot timpul la CAND VINE CUTREMURUL. O sa vina la un moment dat, si gata, asta e situatia ! Mai rezonabil ar fi sa constientizam ce putem face pentru a minimiza daunele, pentru a fi pregatiti si pentru a reactiona cat mai bine la fenomenul care, pana la urma, e inevitabil.
Ceea ce ar mai trebui oamenii sa retina este ca un cutremur vrancean cu magnitudinea egala cu a celui din Italia (6,3) nu este catastrofal. In pofida unor rastalmaciri din presa, seismele vrancene de magnitudine 6 nu cauzeaza prabusirea blocurilor. Ele se simt, provoaca panica, scoala lumea din somn, balanseaza lustrele, apar uneori fisuri in tencuiala, dar nu se semnaleaza distrugeri majore. Acest lucru se datoreaza faptului ca seismele vrancene sunt de mare adancime. Cutremurele de Vrancea devin distrugatoare doar la magnitudini strict mai mari de 7,00 pe scara Richter. Trebuie retinut acest lucru.
E bun si un cutremur da tot mai buna ar fi o rascoala.

Hai ca azi a fost cutremur in Afganistan , dupa aceea in Caucaz si in Arhipelag nu se linistesc cutremurele …. am o ciudata presimtire …. ce zici ,Teoctist ?
Cutremurele acelea au fost mici. Daca apare un seism mai mare intr-una din acele zone, atunci ne putem pune unele probleme.
Iata si azi a fost una mica …. in doua in doua saptamani , ce-i drept cu o intensitate scadenta se repeta … Europa e foarte activa seizmic in aceasta primavara… parca ar fi ceva cu ciclul lunar … ne putem oare astepta la urmatoarea luna plina , in jurul la 8 iunie la un eveniment ?
Cutremure moderate mai pot avea loc in Vrancea, nu sunt probleme deosebite.
